Motor Dies While Driving
I had the same thing going on. I finally figured out that I didn't need to pull over to the side of the road. Just take your foot off the throttle, put the trans into neutral, turn the key off quickly and restart. Don't pump the throttle or it will most likely backfire when it restarts as there...- buildin64

Where can I find this grille?
Hi, thanks for the compliment. The truck exterior was originally light blue with the white center. The person I bought it from changed the color to the silver. The interior was also blue and the previous owner also changed that out to be grey/silver. Not sure that the 75 K5's actually could be... -
Where can I find this grille?
Hi I have one of those grilles including the brackets to mount to the rad support. Notice in the image that the top bar has a slight curve to it to allow access to the hood release but not as easy to release the hood as with the factory grille. Give me a shout if you are still interested. -

Don't waste your time waiting on Prothane. I talked with them directly as when I received my bushings the instructions said to match up the new ones with your old ones. Lets get this straight...match up a 40+ year old rubber bushing that is collapsed, dry rotted and not a very good way to ensure... -

I am going to check into both approaches but I am leaning towards the CV as colonel mustard suggested and if that isn't enough I will look at dropping the transfer case some amount. Not crazy about the transfer case drop with the added stress on the motor...- buildin64

Hi all, Just finished a 4 in lift in my '75 K5 and now I see that the splines of the rear drive shaft are visible at least 1-1.25" outside of the yoke and it appears that the u joint is touching off on the drive shaft with the added angle due to the lift. 1978 k10 suspension/tire project
HI, I have the same issue with my truck...not knowing how much lift it currently has. My other issue is I just put on 33 BFG Mud Terrains with 10" wide wheels and now I have a clearance issue at full turns. I emailed Chris at ORD and asked him what is a stock height for the K5 (mine is a 1975)...- buildin64
