Yeah, there's a million things going on with this truck lol. The brake pedal assembly is also from an 87. So I would think it should play nice with the 87 master. I was flipping through part numbers and various other info, and I believe in 87 a 2wd and a 4wd half ton shared the same master...- Tranz Zam

I found the old VIN for the cab, and it comes back as a 1987 2wd Chevy 305 TBI with a brake system GVW 5001-6000. I'm assuming that this master is completely wrong for what I'm running. The frame on my truck is a 1978, with axles and brakes to match. I'm thinking I should get a master...- Tranz Zam

VIN number discrepency on my frankenstein c10
X2. If it makes you feel any better, my truck is made from over six trucks. The frame is a 78, the cab is an 87, the bed is a 79+, the fenders and rad support are off an 80, and the trucks VIN is for a 73 C20. :laughing1:- Tranz Zam

I pulled my door panels out of a 79 blazer. They probably weren't the best candidates for restoring, as they were chalky. I sanded the chalk off, prepped with rubbing alcohol, and painted them with SEM Landau Black. I also did the dash pad. They came out great! I've dyed a bunch of interior... -
Exhaust muffler?
If you're only looking at Cherry Bomb, I would go with the extreme muffler. I personally hate the way glasspacks sound.- Tranz Zam

How much doea your fuel tank hold?
Did the longbed trucks that have 16 gallon tanks have a longer fuel filler neck, or did they move the physical mounting of the tank closer to the rear? The law is complex. Basically you measure the wheelbase, track width, and then divide by a certain number and you get the maximum amount you're supposed to lift the truck. Nowhere in MA do they enforce this law. I've had some pretty large trucks, including a 99 Sierra with 9" of lift on 37"...- Tranz Zam
