Th400 whine from converter/pump after fluid change
Hello, I recently changed the fluid and filter in my '85 C20's Th400. The old fluid was pretty decent, maybe a little dark, but not burned up looking. I filled it with 6 quarts per the shop manual. Now when I first start it in the morning there is a whining coming from the converter/pump...- slowlane

What have you done to your square lately??
In the past month I bought a used high top bed cap, new rear tires, got a spare wheel/tire, built a better hillbilly tailgate solution than my first design, and built a sleeping platform in the bed of the '85. I will be living out of it from late May to mid August while travelling the country... -

What kind of fuel mileage do you get?
1985 C20 with a 1975 350ci, holley 670 street avenger, TH400, cobbled dual exhaust, 4.10 rear. I get about 12.5 average, but I drive pretty conservatively and only cruise at 60-65 on the highway.- slowlane

I fixed a binding vacuum advance in the distributor so now the truck has much better takeoff power and I barely have to put my foot on the throttle at cruising speeds. Gas mileage seems to be a little better. I adjusted the driver's door and put on a new latch striker bolt. Someone had... -

Hello everyone. I am Tim and this is my 1985 C20. I guess it is in pretty good shape for a vehicle that has gone through almost 30 Northeast winters. The bed is so-so but the frame and cab are good.
