Dang…I like the look of that! I’ll be ordering one with the rebuild kit and let y’all know how it goes! Nice find. Thank you! I was debating of doing a manual choke as well. But this looks much more gooder.
Thanks RaisedK5! I kinda had a feeling something was missing. ;)
Would you recommend going with the standard mechanical choke or putting an electric one on?
Hi all,
I am have a 1976 K10 with the sbc 350. I need to rebuild the carburetor because it appears to be leaking from the accelerator pump and other seals. What I’m confused with is the choke. It doesn’t appear to have one on it. Rather a way of actuating the choke plate. Am I missing...
That makes me feel a little better. I'll have to double check and measure how much lift per side. I think that I'm going to replace all the steering components anyway...they are not the newest!
So...I have had this 1976 K10 for just over a year. It has a 4" lift on it and when I turn the wheel to the left the drivers side of the truck lifts up. I have owned a lot of newer trucks that have all had lifts on them and none of them did this. Maybe it's normal...but I just want to make...
Thank you for the reply...and sorry it took me so long to get back. Been out of town on business...
Anyway - I have attached a picture of the steering arm (which looks to be raised). The reason for wanting to replace the springs is that in an earlier post it appeared they were maybe 2-3" lift...
So...I am reviving this thread because I want to put 4" leaf springs on the front. Would anyone recommend just doing the leaf springs in the front (I have new shocks for a 4" lift)? What else am I going to need (ie. drop pitman arm, etc..)
Thanks for any help!
Ahh...I'll go out and measure things. That is awesome information! Thank you so much nvrenuf!! I should have posted a picture of the truck and how it sits.
I got 10" in the front. So, 1.5" of lift...that sounds kinda small.
So, I have a 1976 K10. And the person that I bought if from didn't know much about the truck. I know that it has a lift on it and was wondering if anyone could help me with identifying the springs, etc... The rear shocks are the what the stock configuration requires (I measured them) but they...
I wish I had taken better before pictures. I'm trying to keep with the Big Yellow theme. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to do with the ugly, cracked door panel pads. I was thinking about making some wood ones and painting them yellow. Any suggestions?
