I pulled the radio and determined it's the antenna input on the back of the radio which makes me mad as I bought this radio refurbished under a year ago
I have a 77 Scottsdale with a rebuilt am fm stock radio. The weather has been bad so it's been parked In my garage. I went to start it to make sure it was ready to drive tomorrow and my radio wouldn't play. The speakers buzzed for half a second then nothing. Checked my antenna connections and...
I'm thinking that's all it could be ive been turning it over by hand and it seems to lock up on one cylinder then I back out and do it again same result. Is it cheaper to rebuild or replace?
Hey guys sorry to completely throw a spin in this thread but y'all seem to be really helpful my grandfather has a 77 k5 blazer my sister ran it hot to the point it shut down a few years ago and I'm trying to get it running. It's got a new starter new battery cables it turns over freely but...
I appreciate it! Yea there aren't any behind the seat..just the one in the dash but the radio I got has a third plug to go to rear speakers so im gonna try to find some small speakers in a box to put behind the seat
Alright I got the radio installed and it works good. Now the issue is at med. To high volume the speakers crackle and the music quality is poor. Does this mean I need more speakers then just my one dash speaker?
Alright guys I found a guy on eBay who refurbishes and resales the original radios with a good warranty so I ordered one I'll let y'all know what happens
I agree I appreciate all the help. I think I'm just gonna have to buy an aftermarket after all:/ does anybody know where I can get one that does not have any digital screens?
But I plugged them both up to a good antenna with a hot and a ground on my 1996 Silverado which I've never had radio trouble with and it still did the same thing. It does it with the truck running and no running on both
