Radio not working after sitting in garage?

I pulled the radio and determined it's the antenna input on the back of the radio which makes me mad as I bought this radio refurbished under a year ago

Radio not working after sitting in garage?

I have a 77 Scottsdale with a rebuilt am fm stock radio. The weather has been bad so it's been parked In my garage. I went to start it to make sure it was ready to drive tomorrow and my radio wouldn't play. The speakers buzzed for half a second then nothing. Checked my antenna connections and...

Alright I got the radio installed and it works good. Now the issue is at med. To high volume the speakers crackle and the music quality is poor. Does this mean I need more speakers then just my one dash speaker?

But I plugged them both up to a good antenna with a hot and a ground on my 1996 Silverado which I've never had radio trouble with and it still did the same thing. It does it with the truck running and no running on both

    I'm not 100% sure. It's got a distributor with rotor so I'm guessing it's a points ignition

Also with everything ran straight to the battery I still get the electric noise and when I turn on headlights it gets quieter. The other thing idk if I mentioned is the buzzer that says fasten seatbelt also comes thru the speaker upon ignition

I tried that out no luck. I connected the radio to my battery in my 2013 and no clicking so I don't think it's the radio. Did those trucks by chance have a ground wire that went to the fuse box? The wires in this thing are all jumbled and effed from the fire department and the owner before that...
