    What was your first Vehicle?

I bought a 1975 chocolate brown Ford Maverick with a 302 V-8 and a C-4 auto for $200 when I was 14 back in 1989. I spent the next couple of years shining it up, painting the wheels and just cleaning it up. I thought I had a rocket ship until I learned the hard way that the 302 was VERY tired...

    Lets see your lifted trucks

:33::33::favorites37: So this is what being right for a change feels like.......AWESOME!!! I've been married for 7 years so this is rare.....almost unheard of.

    Lets see your lifted trucks

Ok, well it must be an optical illusion then because if you look at the picture with the black truck in it, the cab of his Chevy is about a foot taller than the bed is. And in the engine compartment photo, that motor looks teeny tiny in there. It looks as if you'd have to rappel down into the...

    Lets see your lifted trucks

Holy shee-it man, how tall was the damn body lift on that thing? Looks like 4" or so....:yucky:

How Will My Square Body Look With XX Lift and XX Tires?

Let's just say there's going to be some art work on it soon. Nothing says, "10 bolt POS" like a :doh2: face on it. Besides, I can spot leaks a lot easier from a distance with a brightly covered cover on it.

How Will My Square Body Look With XX Lift and XX Tires?

Well here's a little comparison of my Suburban Before... After... Rough country 4" lift, 33X12.50 15" Yokohama AT's on stock Rally wheels. Rides pretty good and I love the way it looks now..

    Lets see your lifted trucks

Haven't actually driven it far enough to figure out if it's significantly rougher or not. I don't want a squishy ride but I don't want to be 3" shorter from spine compression after a trip either. I'm hoping it's going to be firm but not too harsh. Time will tell I guess.

How Will My Square Body Look With XX Lift and XX Tires?

Been gone for awhile but I'm finally back! For those that don't remember, I have an 88 Suburban and I bought a 4" lift for it waiting in storage for a time when I could install it. Well, after we had daughter #2 and several events where life just got in the way, I finally got around to...

square beats out ford and dodge on top gear

In all fairness, it not only survived Alaska, but it survived the idiots that were in the show. That in itself deserves an award!

    Off roading

I agree but like I said, I didn't have nearly the knowledge of vehicles I have now. I really wish I could re-locate a couple of my old trucks and give them the love they needed.

    Off roading

It was an ok truck, but that 4.3 was carb'd with a Rochester Q-jet. :yucky: It would bog down under hard acceleration and going up any steep hills required downshifting like a mutha!. I had that thing for 2 years and sold it in 1995. I kinda wish I had the knowledge then that I have now...

    Off roading

I had an 86 fullsize K-10 with an absolutely gutless 4.3 V-6 in it, 10 bolt axles with 3.42 gears and an SM465 and I pulled out tons of stuck folks. One guy had his mom's Ford Fairmont station wagon buried so deep in the mud that it poured in every time he opened the door. I hooked up the...
