Picked up a 14bff in really good condition having 3.73 that matches my d44 front axle gearing for $200 today. Also got the passenger gas tank for $40. Let’s see if I can get this thing in shape for summer trips up in the Prescott National Forest.

I know you've talked about your wheels previously @Grit dog , but I'm looking at options for 8 lug steelies. I'm not looking for as tall of wheels, probably just 15x8, but only found 16x6.5 in 8 lug so far.
Would the ignition rack cause only 1v to get to the distributor wire?
He just replaced the pinon because he broke the plastic during column disassembly. The pinon came with a new rack, but not sure if he replaced it or just reinstalled the original.
