Looking to buy new 3 point seat belts for son’s 76 C10. It only had lap belts when we got it. Who has the best aftermarket set out there? LMC, Brothers,Classic? I am so worn (shipping) out from all the returns to these suppliers when parts are inferior or just plain don’t work. Like to save myself some trouble. It’s his project and his dime (he is 15) so trying to save his cash. Thanks everyone.

Any special color?
I bought a complete set from LMC in blackbut decided to go with OEM style.
I also have a complete set of the red/maroon OEM.

I liove in Burleson and work in downtoen Ft. Worth. I'm sure we can make a deal on either set. I get the budget build and honestly thrilled to see a teenager want to get in to and work on classics!!
Shoot me a PM and we can work out the details. After the ice we're supposed to get of course.

I am very happy with Seat Belt Planet out of OK. Their customer service was very good, took a return without an issue and were knowledgeable.

If you get the OEM set and want to change the color, I they do that also.

FYI - the truck already had the threaded mounting in the pillar for your shoulder belts, so it’s a very easy bolt it.

I don’t recall now where I got my shoulder belts from (maybe LMC?).

I first tried to use some I pulled from the junkyard, but the mounting brackets from a newer truck did not match the holes in the ‘75 floor. The ones I purchased new were fine to install, but they don’t have the rigid plastic casing around the loose end buckle. This means you have to fish around a a little to find the buckle, and the buckle looks a little too far up (extends off the seat about 4-5”.

Thanks Y’all for all the info and the link to Seat Belt Planet. Scott, thanks for the offer, he wants grey to match his Rhino lined bed and accents he will eventually put in cab. The help on this forum has been a life saver. We wish we would have been on here before we started all the work!!

That is awesome! Thanks so much. I’m sure the LMC stuff is cheap China stuff. Thanks for the link. I think its between these guys and seatbelt planet.

The Seat Belts Plus items have the more attractive closed retractors.
You may have to color match the retractor housings.
Some vendors have the open retractors. (Kinda ugly) IMO.
And of course you’d want the GM release button.

Ah, I see. Well mom and I decided that we would buy the belts (mom is a safety freak) so going with Seat Belts Plus looks like the way to go if we are going to get the most bang for the buck.

Ill get to them in the next day or so, now off to put vent windows back in and door glass rubber!

There’s one more thing I can add, hopefully to help you buy the correct belts. Be sure to get a minimum 20” inch buckle end length (longer if possible) The supplier that supplies most of the vendors is -Seat Belt Solutions- in Jupiter Florida. The 12 inch buckle end that comes with some 3 point sets is way too short. I don’t know why they list these as fitting a ‘73-‘87 bench seat?
So be careful in your ordering to save a lot of headaches and frustration.

Thanks Corrigan.. very helpful.

Here’s some pics of the new SeatBeltsPlus belts installed.
These seatbelts operate like the modern style, where the tab(male end) is over your shoulder rather than down at your hip like the original factory C10 belts.
