My 1984 K20 only has 1 wiper speed currently (high). If I move it to delay or low the wipers will stop. I installed a new wiper/washer unit. I ran an extra ground to the fender. I still have a new turn signal switch to install. Not looking forward to pulling the column apart. Will a wiper delay module from a 1989 Cheyenne fit my 1984? My truck has cruise control, delay and tilt wheel. Thanks

I think the GMT400 pulse board module is a completely different animal than the Square Body one. You or someone electronically savvy if that’s not your specialty should be able to rebuild the module. I haven’t cracked one open yet so I can’t tell you how to do that, but it may just be a bad solder joint, capacitor, etc.

Nope, sorry Lar you missed it by one year.

85 -91 all use the same module (15594386). But the module used in the pulse systems for - 84 and down MY's - are different (14074359). I didn't check for superseded P/N's - so you might want to do that. But I agree with Jesse, that they are totally different animals.

Can I offer you a suggestion - I gonna anyway, so here it comes. The module is drop in. It is designed to be pulled out of the circuit and then the inlet connector (to the module) can be plugged directly into the WSW switch. Before you spend some serious $$, you may want to try pulling the module and see what happens.

I believe the '89 in question is a GMT400 style truck.

And I think the module listings around are incorrect. '84 is the first year for the multifunction switch and the redesigned module. '85 was just the switch to a remote mount washer pump. I have a later year module installed in my '84 and it works fine.
