1982 Chevy C10 2wd Longbed. Growing up my dad and I worked on several of these trucks that he had. This is my first solo restoration. I moved to the south where rust doesn't exist. Truck is in good condition. Pics will come soon.

Opinions on wheel size. Truck may be dropped 2 inches in the front. MAYBE. I'm looking for a nice tire and rim that will give it a wide "stance". I leaning toward American Racing Rims.

Thanks! BGrew

Everybody has their own opinion. I have never seen a square with bigger than a 16" wheel that I thought looked good. Some look ok, but I don't think there is a wheel out there that looks better than a shiny set of 15" rallies. A 10" wide wheel will accommodate about as wide of a tire that you would want.

Thanks guys. This is my first solo project truck without my dad. And I moved 2700 miles away so he gets a lot of questions. I'm leaning towards a 10 wide tire. Am I going to need spacers?

15x10 wheel bolts right on the rear

you will not be able to tuck a 15x10 with a 295-50x15 it is even with the wheel well

this truck has a axle flip around 5'' drop with a 15x10 295-50x15 rear

no one of my buddies got it used and made the brackets to put it in a short bed chevy

I have no clue what it was originally for and neither does my buddy that did it

Sorry kleedus but you CAN tuck 295/50/15 tires on a 10in rim with a 5in back space. Actually you can tuck a really big tire if you are willing enough to MAKE it fit. Lol

ya back space will tuck a 10 wide wheel but you loose the depth and it does not look as good

I put 15x10's on this truck. I do not recall backspace. I went to buy wheels and tires for the truck and the guy at the shop had these sitting on the floor. He said someone ordered them and then never came to pick them up and he had them for a while so I snatched them up. I thought the truck looked pretty good with them on.

I have 20x10" wide in the back. Its a tight fit and I have about 3/4" space between the inner and outer part of the rear fenderwells. I have 20x8" wheels in the front. With the 5/7 drop, the front fenderwells are no longer installed. 10" wide wheels are the max for most wheel mfgs, unless something custom is ordered and they are priced accordingly.
