I am new to picking out wheels and tires, I am hoping to get some pointers. I have a 1985 Chevy C10 fleetside long bed, I am looking to run wide rear wheels in the rear. I want to run the widest possible wheel without tubing the bed, I want a 15-17inch Rim with a lug spacing of 5x5in (5x127). I want the wheels to be flush with the outside of the bed. Any ideas on wheel offset and width I should run?

This is a street/strip truck.

If you have a similar setup to what I am after, feel welcome to post your wheel brand, part #, etc.

I have this wheel: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/usm-u11118957352

Specs: Rambler U111; 18 in. x 9.5 in.; 5 x 5.00 in. Bolt Circle; 5.25 in. Backspace

and measured last night because I wanted them further out as well. From the edge of the lip of the tire to the inside of the fender (where it would rub if the truck tilted enough) was a full 2".
You're going to have to go pretty wide or get a lot more backspace to fill up the space. Maybe 12"-13" wide - but it will look great!

Thanks for all the replies. I think I found the wheels I'd like to get, but I still have to figure out backspacing. I'll post what I end up getting.

Here is the wheels I'm looking at: https://www.cragarwheel.com/shop/15x12-5x5-series-61c-ss/

Some tire shops will let you rent/ borrow a wheel right tool from them to measure. You can also make a tool in a few minutes with a couple pieces of scrap wood. One piece bolts to face of drum and the other piece on top like a T. You just keep trimming until you have the height, width, backspacing figured out.
