Next time, dont needlessly lie or try to start drama in a thread.
I only tacked onto the conversation because it was brought up.
Maybe I could have better responded to lego directly. But it doesnt matter. Because it never went further. She had no questions, and the topic was just fine.
The way lego worded it , could be construed that hes aware of a trailer brake controller on her truck existing.

Why aren't you saying the same thing to him?

Perhaps its because you have an unhealthy obsession with starting things whenever Im in the same thread as you.
I havent even spoken to you in weeks-months, and you just felt the need to pick an issue with me here. Id not care about you bringing this up if you had in good faith tagged lego about it.
I’m sorry you feel that way. But if you’re unable to differentiate between what you quoted Lego saying and what you said, I can’t help that.
Just dispelling the misguided myth you have in your head about hyd trailer brakes teed into the system being inherently bad or dangerous.

I Dont think that at all, infact, if you remember that thread from a while back I was one of the people who were pro-fluid brake controller

I think they are cool and when I get my square better fixed, im hoping the one in my cab is still functional, id love to use it.

the master cylinder not having a provision probably means its not meant to support an auxillary use like a trailer brake controller anyway

Good! Your second post clears up my thought. We used the hyd. electric brake controllers for years.

@tophat36 Don't throw that brass adapter away. It fits many different years of GM vehicles. No longer available for the older GM vehicles. Sell it! I'll buy it.

@tophat36 great time to repurpose that fitting. If there’s a dozen people left in the world that would actually want to install a hyd brake controller on something, a few of them are here. You’ll make someone’s day with a part that you, nor nearly anyone would ever have a use for again.

It seems like this isn’t a hard to find tee unless I’m missing something…is the size what’s unique about it?

Got the brass tee removed and the brake line reconnected, thanks guys!

How full should the master cylinder be? I noticed the front chamber was lower than the rear one, but I don’t know what is too low.

I usually kept levels about 1/4" to 3/8" below opening (rear walls) with M/C gasket pushed back up if "popped".

The master cylinder I just bought has a small dot or divot cast into each reservoir, instructions indicated this was the full mark. If no dot @Sad Sack recommendation seems about right

When you find master cylinder reservoirs that aren't full, the biggest concern should not be how full should it be. The biggest concern should be,why isn't it full? Seeping wheel cylinders, pads ,shoes almost to metal, master leaking into booster etc. My first concern would be inspecting to find out if the low master is an indicator of another problem. The fluid doesn't just evaporate, and no one comes and steals it.

Weird, that must just be a local problem we have in our neighborhood then.

Yes, GM used a non standard nut on the brake line to master cylinder. Larger than a regular 3/8 tube nut.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest she found it low because she just removed the brake line and fitting ;)
