Has anyone experienced this phenomenon? Replaced ball joints, bearings and was going to install new hubs....then ran into this. One assembly fits, the other doesn’t.

Is it catching on a burr? Does the new locking hub have a poor cast that wasn't cleaned up? Did someone put the lock ring in the hub before install the locking hub? Did you try rotating the hub while installing it?

All of the locking hubs I've ever bought over the years maybe 50% needed some finesse to install them.

Thanks for the replies! I tried the hub in both rotors, the one fit in both, the other didn’t. I contacted Warn just to ask if they ever ran across this, they said sometimes but it’s rare.

After surveying many forums, I’ve decided to stick with the original Spicers. The Warns are boxed up and heading back tomorrow.
