Just recently picked up a 73 shortbed pickup. Im tearing it down to the frame, and initially wanted to just put a drop on it. After some thought though im thinking i want to bag it.

I dont neccesarily care about dragging, or laying frame, just want it to look nice and clean and be able to raise or lower to my specified height. Is there a specific kit i can buy or do i need to piece everything together? Never bagged a truck, mostly have put lifts on everything ive ever had but i want to go a different route on this one. Any help would be appreciated!

There are a few threads here (mostly in the under construction section) with bagged trucks. I think after your research that there's more to bagging a truck than just buying a kit and installing it. Usually there's also quite a bit of fabrication and modding that comes into play as well.

Alright ill check them out. I dont have a problem with the fab work, i work at a stereo shop and we do custom golf cart work so i have a welder, plasma cutter, etc. I just love the look of some of the bagged trucks and i think if i just do a drop i will always be wishing i bagged it.

IMO if you bag it you might as well go ahead and give it the ability to lay frame

To lay complete frame you need to do a drop k-member, relocate the gas tank/ do a suburban/ blazer tank swap. Those are thing I have been told that prohibits a stock setup from laying frame.

You will also have to notch the frame both from and back, modify or do away with the wheel wells, relocate some stuff in the engine compartment,.....
