Been wanting a manual trans steering column with tilt and cruise. Looks to be a pretty rare item so I built one. Have two non tilt square body columns and two tilt columns from a 90 and 93 gmt 400 trucks. The Newer columns are 2 in longer from the upper mount to the wheel. Not good unless your name is Twiggy. Tilt parts are the same as earlier stuff. Anybody that has a square body columns apart know that the tubes are different from tilt and non tilt. Since the tilt stuff is the same I cut the top off the 90 and welded it to the top of a non tilt column. Also made it 1 in shorter for some belly room.assembly as pretty straight forward but getting all them stinking parts in was a pain. Being shorter it made the control rods too long but was easy enough to shorten. Also found out that a double d steering shaft is a perfect fit into the column so I made up a new shaft the the box.

That's impressive. I completely rebuilt a manual non-tilt to replace the auto in my 85. I can appreciate the time and effort it took you. I am still on the lookout for a manual tilt column.
