For the past 3 day's off and on I have been trying to install new weatherstripping on my 1976 suburban vent window without much luck. The curved portion would not snap in. I let it sit in the sun sprayed it down with windex and still no luck so I took a couple spring clamps and when I clamped them on the weatherstripping snapped right in. After all the struggling for days it took about 5 minutes and it was in perfect. So I posted this so that if anyone is replacing theirs try the spring clamps.
