Vent Window Inside Seals

I have ordered the 1 piece inside seal from LMC for my vent windows. I started taking out the existing seal yesterday and noticed that it is riveted into plate and also that the window is riveted into place. Does anyone have any advice on the easiest way to install the 1 piece seal and do I need to remove the old hardware?
