I watched a youtube video the other day and a guy had an oldsmobile I believe it was and he connected his 700r4 lock up to the cruise control circuit which he wasn't using. I need to do the same on my 1988 K5 as I've removed the TBI and gone carb/hei and I don't know that the cruise will work anymore and, I don't think the factory converter lock up will either.
Seeing how some of the aftermarket, external electrical lock up systems work, couldn't the lock up be controlled by the cruise control stalk? It has on/off and momentary switch along with connection to the brake pedal so it seems like this would be an option? I'd rather not have to get into the trans to add any wiring or a pressure switch so though this might work......
