Can anyone tell me what this electrical piece is a part of. It looks like a heat sink. It's located on the steering column under the removable cover. It has a white wire that has come unplugged. Kind of nervous about plugging it back in.

After looking closer it's a different part that has come unplugged. The wires are gray not white. The two brass connection are where the wires connect. Connector just outside of picture. Its located under the wiper delay module. Any help identifying would be appreciated.

Im pretty sure that’s the stoplight switch, the vacuum hose is for cruise control.

Are you talking about brake lights?

Yes. See if that switch has a plunger that touches a tan on the brake pedal.

Brake lights work with it unplugged. It does appear to be a part of the brake light sw. Could it be a cancel for cruse control? The cruse has missing parts on the engine and I have no plan on trying to get it working.
