Turn Signal Cancel Cam??? turn signal broke just kinda floppy

hey guy just wondering if you have ever experienced this. i used turn single while turning had heard something brake. now turn single lever just flops around and cant get it to stay any where. just seeing if anyone has had the same issue and to see if its the cancel cam. i want to order parts for my car but wanted to check and see if this is issue before i order

truck is 74 non tilt column

I’d make sure the lever is seated all the way in the switch. If it popped out, it can do what you’re saying. Otherwise, I’d suspect a broken turn signal switch before the cancelling cam. I’d wait on more consensus before ordering parts, though.

My dads 73 c10 did this when i was very young. As a family of 4 in a c10 with a bench seat i was very close to it lol it wouldnt stay up or down and every time you toched it you would hear sparks and it would smoke out from behind the horn button. Fun on a long trip. And as i recall its still that way today.

If it same as mine, which I think it is, turn signal arm has a hole in it that has a screw into the plastic switch. Sounds like the plastic switch broke off at arm connection. If it won't pull out it probable has screw and piece of plastic on the end keeping it in. Probably need new turn signal switch assembly.

your prob right. its still in place just really sloppy. it wont "click" just sloppy. so plan on ordering a new switch huh?? does new switch come with single canceler??
