Trans Swap Conversion

What's up everyone I own an 85 C10 short bed with a Corvette 700R4. I want to swap the 700R4 to a T5 trans. I don't have a donor truck with a clutch assembly, but I do have a Z28. I was wondering if the Z28 clutch assembly is compatable with the truck in terms of mounting. Has anyone ever done this type of conversion and does it work.

Clutch and trans should fit on engine, but big question is the Z28 hydrolic or mechanical clutch linkage? May have to modify it or trade out bell housing pedals for some out of a square

Do you plan on beefing up the engine? If so, it may be too much for a T5. My '88 s10 with the "iron duke" 4 cyl came had a T5 world class. I liked it, never gave me any trouble, but I'd think hard about it before putting one behind a 350. And I would never power shift it.
