I am assembling a 350 with a friend , he works in a machine shop.

we installed the new timing chain and gears.

there was a little play in the chain, my buddy says it’s to much play , another friend who has build several motors tells me it’s normal chain play.

Does anyone have any input …

I guess you can’t post videos ?

oh well. Not sure how much you can help without a video.

So, one thing you could do, index the cam 3 degrees advance. (one tooth on the big gear) That would make up for the chain stretch. May depend on the cam you are using if this will work for you.
