Well I'm happy to be here. Just joined. I have two in the barn and looking at a third. Need some input on what to do with the 3rd one. It's a 3/4 with utility bed GMC. The body is straight and perfect. When I say perfect I mean the cab looks like it has only one dent. The sealer all looks great no major rust. A few little spots of surface rust here and there but the rockers, pans, corners etc are perfect. Has A/C needs a charge. 350 with lots of shiny goodies on it. I could park it at my place with a sign on it and make a quick 1500. Sale price of 4000.

But my mind wanders and I think to myself why not slap that cab on my 1/2 swb chassis and sand and paint the good bed I have and shoot for the moon. Sale price of 7000.(at least)

Could sand prime paint new and add some....

What is the best bang for the pocket book in everyone's opinion. Will try and get back out there and take some pictures.

Again thanks for any help/ideas and I'm glad I joined

clean that thing up and use it or sell it. That's pretty clean just from the one picture.

My initial thoughts were to take that bed off and make a trailer out of it for my work and source another bed if quick flipping it. Or take that cab and motor and putting on halfton swb chassis I have

man that truck is solid!

if it was me id remove the latter rack and then bag it. i think the bagged work trucks look so cool. (though sadly not overly functional)

I like it, would make a good work truck. Not sure if it would sell faster as is or with a standard bed so make that decision based on whether you want to keep the bed it has. Then a good detail and list it or use it.

Working on this one to sell, then the swb then I'm going to get it. I know the man and he is just letting it sit.

Personally I would sell the utility bed, put a good bed on it and sell one of the other two in the garage... its nice to have a 3/4 ton truck around.

With as many squares as there are still in service I think it would be worth exploring selling the utility bed separately and putting a regular bed back on. Thats a clean truck to have either for yourself or to sell.

I'm definitely going to sell the dually with flatbed but I don't know what it is worth. I have 3200 in it and need to get it gone before I can get the nicer one with the utility bed. For sure made my mind up to take off that utility bed and make a trailer for my crew
