The old boy that I get my liquor from, he is almost 88 and still runs his liquor store by himself. His son has an old postal jeep that he had restored but then they left it outside at the ranch and the squirrels ate the wiring among other things. I told him it's not a lost cause, they sell pre-made wiring harnesses, and that thing could be up and running in a few months after replacing seals what not. They sold the ranch, hauled the jeep down behind the store and some homeless burned it. He said it's gone now, but I told him it's basically the same amount of work to redo it, except the fire gutted out the bad stuff, and it's a clean slate. He wants me to buy it, but my wife wouldn't have it, my driveway wouldn't either, no room for it...lol...

Someone with space and willing spouse definitely needs to grab it before it gets crushed. That's sad.

If I had the space it wouldn't be a big deal, that's the kicker. She would balk a little but would be okay with it. It's hard to get what I know about her to transmit through written words. I know of at least one other guy that might be interested in buying it. He has restored an old Willy's, I have seen it one time and it is immaculate. Hopefully someone like him gets it. I have a feeling they won't send it to the crusher, because it would have happened already if they were thinking about it. It got burned months ago.

You would be amazed at what goes to Pick N Pull out here. Because of the strict smog laws, many vehicles don't pass and they can't get registered. Many people let them sit, creating huge penalties by not putting it on a Non-op. Here's some samples of our California "Junk."

Kinda the shit I need in my life... Just send a low boy over your way, fill it up with 4 squares that are considered junk, and bring them here. No restrictions here obviously.

That's why I prefer 3/4 tons, less emissions bs.

There is a company from the midwest, Super Scout Specialists, that comes out here a few times a year and picks up old IH's complete or not.
That's part of why I got rid of my K15 and bought the K30 a few years ago. No cats.

@Craig 85 Not many K20 or K30 trucks around here. No cats is a good thing, much easier to pass emissions that way.

This jeep caught me off-guard this morning. It really made me laugh. It's so ridiculous that I like it, lol.

Me too. So goofy it's cool. Extra traction for climbing hills with them four tires digging out back.
