Came here a few months ago for some help and met some awesome people and I meant to make a post about my 1983 GMC project, so Im finally getting to that. I finally got her on the road and have been driving her back and forth to work. Still a long ways to go but I thought I would share some pics with you guys. I plan to copy the truck on the bottom. Good luck man. But if it was mine I would venture on my own path of how the truck would look upon completion.

    Welcome tp the funny farm

Do you like white? Looks like it was white originally and color changing these are not much fun from what I hear.

Like the truck btw, its one of my favorite years.:)

gotyourgoat, I do like white. I may end up just going with the factory color. You are right about color changing these trucks. I used to do paint and body and I shot a few. IMO, to do it right you just gotta gut everything down to a shell. Im gonna spray the outside and do the jambs and interior later when I do redo the interior.

Nice project. I'm a SWB fan myself. I had a very similar blue k20 many years ago.
My K5 is getting a color change and is completely gutted. All the body panels will be off when shot too. Definitely a lot of work.
