Okay, I have an 1983 K1500 with a bad engine (spun rod bearing) and a 1987 TBI engine going in my 1984 K10 can I swap the intakes and make the carburetor work with the 87? I have looked through the site and couldn’t find anything about this setup, if there is a write up please direct me to it, thanks for your help.

You would need to look at the center bolts on the intake. At some point, they changed the angle on the center 4, where they bolt to the head. I can't recall if that changed with the early tbi engines or if it came shortly thereafter. The change oriented them more vertically, instead of going in at the same angle as the outer bolts. Long story short, you may need a different intake.
