I'm trying to figure out what to call / what size clip-nuts I need to re-attach the trim panel to my tailgate. My Dad calls the 'Jesus nuts' because they always break or fall out - making you go "Jesus!" lol

Anybody know what the heck to call them and what size I need? The old ones rotted out and I almost lost the trim panel.

I should know this but its a rough Monday...

Finally getting back to this. Anyone know what size clip is used for the trim panel? I took a look at the parts store and the universal-type stuff looked all wrong. Can't find anything online without some idea of size.

Weird there is literally nothing out there about this.

Just get them to match the mounting screws. There's probably two options for length, the short ones will be fine.

My 79's mounting screws are stainless Torx, but I don't remember if they are standard thread or metric.
