T5 or what

I need to upgrade my horrible three on the tree was thinking about a t5 from a 86 s10 then I look and see IT might crap out on me I can't afford a hybrid trans. I have 78 4.1 with offy intake four barrel and headers will the t5 work or bust thanks

Welcome aboard.

I had the same thing but only a in a Dodge p/u. Slant six 225 with cam, headers, offy intake and 4 bbl. But I had a A-883 4 speed trans. :wayotog:

So if you can dig one of those up they are a great trans.

A T5 isn't that hard to break in a Camaro or S10, it wouldn't be a very good trans for a full size truck.
