Anyone have experience installing a T-56 six speed into a Square Body?
Does it fit, or does the tunnel require modification?
Cross member location change?

Yes, it needs a hole cut, and most likely. Lol. But getting into it more, there's different variations of the T56 and each one will have different install requirements.

On his build, he went with the forward mount shifter. If you run bucket seats and no console (or a small one) then the stock shifter location should work too. But that will depend on which version of the trans you use and what style engine it's bolted to. The shifter position could vary a good 6 inches or so, depending on the route you take.
