Yeah, most of the 88's were the new bodystyle if they were regular cab or of course extended cab. I don't know what the production numbers were, that's just simply my own observations.

I'm looking through some of the really good tech stuff we have on here, double checking the RPO's now.

Yeah, the RPOs aren't finished, it will be a long, long term project. I am still working on them though.

Probably 45-60,000 1988 C&Cs made at the Janesville plant. Most were 454 TBI and carbed though.

It does have a trip odometer and a 6 digit odometer if that says anything.

Thanks Jay, I know that you have better sources for the RPOs than I do.

Oh yeah, forgot about those rascals. I wonder what happened to them all. Wasn't there also a carbed 292 still available in '88?

    Me too.

    Project Ellie May

Oh, I forgot to mention, this project has a name, since my uncle's truck is Jethro, I decided to keep the Beverly Hillbillies theme going and call mine Ellie May

Question: With my bed, I'm at a little bit of a legal issue with width and this truck SHOULD have clearance lights on the cab, back and around the rear wheels. Also, I'd like to insulate the ceiling of the truck for sound and thermal reasons, is there a good way of dropping the steel ceiling to do this?

You could just install a headliner in the truck, it makes a big difference.
