Anyone out there in GMSB land have a Longbed stepside bed, or know where one is located? Will buy the bed only, or a whole truck. The truck that is to be converted is the 1986 C20 that was in the Memphis CL that Joshua Keith posted last month. Thanks a bunch Joshua Keith for the lead!!

If you have a LB Stepside truck, and want to convert yours to a Fleetside, please let me know, we can do a swap at your location or mine.

I know who has a '63 longbed stepside but he isn't getting rid of it, and I will try buying it if he does. I have seen some longbed stepside trucks around, but driving down the road. A rare breed for sure, and cool to see them. There is a post somewhere on here that shows a bunch of them in the Middle East. They probably use them for assault vehicles so they can stand on the steps between the cab and fenders...lol...

Found a '73 in central Texas, but the owner said the bedsides were only standing up because of the 2x4's screwed to them. Total rust out. What a shame

Keep an eye on Craig's List. I saw one last month that was being sold as a trailer for $450. I just looked, and it's gone now though. The bed looked straight and rust free.

You guys are awesome!! 2 leads for used beds and a link to brand new parts.

The power of networking is amazing.

Doesn't LMC sell a Long bed step side kit?

Doesn't LMC sell a Long bed step side kit?
Just looked at LMC, Classic Industries, and Brother's websites.

1. LMC has no kit that I could find. Some parts, but not enough to build a bed.

2. Classic Industries also has no kit I could find. They do have parts available.

3. Brothers also has no kit I could find, but probably has the best selection of parts.

Did I mention that I hate using these websites; about as user friendly as the instructions for building your own personal space shuttle. I cut my teeth on Sears Christmas catalog's in the 50's, so I'll take a paper catalog any day of the week.

The pricing of all these companies is also beyond my piggybank's assets.

Mar-K (from Big Chip above) is the only one I could find that has a kit, but my first born has taken exception to being traded for something so mundane as a truck bed.

Hopefully, the two leads above will yield something more reasonable.

I sure appreciate everyone's help~!~

Hey, Mike, just tell your first born they get the truck when you are "done". Maybe that'll work!!

Don't think she has room in her suburban house garage. I already gave her her grandfather's '73 Corvette after we finished the restoration, and my son-in-law has a souped up Challenger, so their "inn" is already full.
