I have this GMC wheel and I'm looking to see if I can get the woodgrain inlay for it. Anyone know where I can get it? I know I can get more for it if it's there.

The truck is trashed, it's my wheeler project, but it was the top of the line trim. Sierra Grande, High Sierra Grande or something like that. I put a grant steering wheel on it.

Sorry to raise the dead but has anyone found a solution for restoring the wood inlay on a factory wheel. I just finished cleaning up and painting my 1977 wheel with wood inlay.

Well not a perfect solution but much better than it was. I used some fake wood tape and trimmed with a razor knife. My choice of red oak was not as close a match as it could have been. I also added a leather rap.

IIRC, those pieces are metal (aluminum maybe?) and wrapped in vinyl. There's nobody repopping them. We talked about it, but decided there just wasn't a big enough demand for them vs the tooling cost
