Anybody know anything about them?

650! Divorced choke. Stock on some early 70s GM cars and trucks. Corvettes even..
1971 - 1983?

I think I am about to score a
Holley List 80073
for next to nothing. Maybe, maybe not. If I want it, I won't have hardly anything in it and I guess there is a good reason? Should I bother?
Tell me what you know! (about spreadbore Holley carburetors)

It's a $500 carburetor because why?
https://www.holley.com/products/fue...arburetors/emissions_replacement/parts/0-6210

Please and thank you.

Direct replacement for 305 CCC Quadrajet. 80073 has a computer plug in it, but can it be removed? A 4175 is very desireable to me, especially for pocket change.

A friend of mine once ran a spreadbore Holley on the 4.3 V6 in his '86 C10. It seemed to do well and it was a daily driver. Got it from Jeg's. That was about 10 years ago I guess.

On the plus side you can achieve that late 70s early 80s cop show sound when you stomp it down. And maybe just maybe squeel the tires on dirt....... oh wait you gotta flip the air cleaner lid.

You've got the same style inlet as the Quadrajet so you should be able to keep the factory pre-bent steel line.

I have several on a bench. They weren't very well received by the market, don't see them much. Holley type carbs have their place in the performance world, but not sure they did well with this design at all.
If you have spreadbore intake, better off with a Quadrajet in my opinion.

I got a couple of them, and many moons ago I used one on my El Camino because at the time Q-Jets were way above my head, took some playing around with it but I did get it to work and end up getting the same mileage as I did with the Q-Jet, never ran the car against the clocks though, but seat of the pants was about the same so I was happy with it at the time, but today I probably could get the Q-Jet to work better, but IMWO I don't see anything wrong with the Holley spreadbore..

I had one in the early 90's on a 68 El Camino with a built 350. Ran great and never had any issues with it. I only had to add a Quick Change secondary cover and put a lighter spring in so the secondaries would open sooner. This a heavier truck you could probably leave the stock spring otherwise it my bog down. I think I also changed the air cleaner base to a flat one to clear the HEI.

I've had similar holleys on a couple vehicles... They're a lot easier to work on than the quadrajet...

Sexier too.. ;)

If it has computer control, it probably can't be removed. It can't on the Quadrajet.

Quadrajets aren't sexy? Aww, cmon.

The kid with the Caprice was checkin out my 75 today and say "eww wtf? Youre even runnin the quadrajet?! No Holley?"

Yeah dude ... Im not knockin it either, this huge mugg probably knocks down 15 on the highway now.....but yeah, Quadrajets are totally NOT sexy. :( ESPECIALLY not next to a SPREADBORE Holley.

If / when I find a 300-28Z I consider lettin you build a jet for me Mark...I am NOT opposed to it at all and ive got a cool one with hot air choke sittin here.
I also look at three barrel Holleys and now im interested in spreadbore Holleys...lol I guess I'm fickle. Want something strange, and as rare and oddball - off the wall as a '75 K5.
Must. Be. period correct. or IDGAF ! Its all gotta look the part, for sure.

Yeah there are probably "better" intakes or whatever, but they arent as COOL. If that's what you think, reader, you don't get it.

Gots a spreadbore Holley like Woah.
Ridin in a K5 Blazer like Woah

lol this song is so stupid....but the Blazer is like woah. You had better believe ima be blasting this **** all over everybody after i get the top off like woah.

@Quadrajet Power where do I find the numbers you need ? Will you tell me about this one please? It says for GMC on it.....
17058204
458BHT
78-79 unknown CFM.
Worth anything to you? Or me?

If one of you dudes want this 1406 for a Ben, speak up cuz ima shine it up and toss it on CL for $150..
I has too many carburetors that arent doing anything.

If you want to make a carburetor look really sexy, add this...

When (if, hopefully) I build my rat rod, I plan to use TBI on a relatively stock engine (might put just enough cam to give it a hint of a lope) and hide it with something like this... Get the mileage/reliability of a stocker and the sexy of a dragster...

That would be the "Crower" look, sorta, they're the dumbest looking things IMO, use the real thing and convert it to EFI, or just mechanical, then they'll at least sound like injectors not to mention be badass. :D
