Details in my build thread.

One of the dealer sales managers has a Z06 Camaro. The one with the LT4 motor. Part of the deal for the new car was he had to take me for a ride in the Camaro.

All I can say is, "HOLY ****!"

I had an L88 Corvette that I raced and I thought that had power.

You can drive the car as slow as you want and it's quiet and well mannered. Step on the gas and the exhaust opens and it becomes a noisy rocket. Computer does all kinds of ****.

So you got a Z06 or something else. I'm confused. Also, they make a Z06 Camaro? Thought that the Z06 was just setup for the corvettes?

It has an LT4 motor. Call it whatever you want. Maybe ZL1?

No no no, you’re not supposed to own it that long. New cars are like iPods, you’re supposed to use them up and throw them away.
I think if the manufacturers had their way, EVERYONE would lease. That way, long term reliability wouldn’t be something they’d need to concern themselves with.

Actually the computer adds the abilitiy to diagnose problems without guessing as much and provides reliable performance. Nothing wrong with mixing your peanut butter and chocolate.

Well, they did bring back the Z28 Camaro. Lots of great performance cars out there these days with the age old problem of being well out of my budget. I’m glad they are still developing and building them though as there is always hope of buying one when it’s 10 years old like I did with my 99 C5.

I'm not a big fan of the latest generation of the Camaros but then again I fell in love with the second gen body styles when i was barely old enough to be interested in girls so I am biased, lol. My idea of fun would be to have one of those made right around 1981, with the T tops, and swap an LS in it. Call me strange.

69 RS is my dream car, Id rock a 4.8/t56 78-81 no t tops as a daily if I could. Would love to build a 78 TA or a 70-73 TA. Back to the new Camaro I dont think they have Zo6 option it could be the SS with 450 ish hp or the 620hp ZL1 with the supercharger.... Anyway whats replacing the Buick?
