Im in the same boat. 82 K10 4x4 lifted 4 or 6in. There is lots of answers here. Improving the ride,or getting good ride is the Question. I priced out Deaver Leafs 750$ set. There are so many posts here some happy with easy ride leafs.Others say still rides like wagon wheel. I know the Deaver leafs would make me happy. As there on the rear of my Off Road Toyota,it rides like a Caddy. So hope we hear more options. Before I sell this wagon wheel truck.

I dont want a crazy high lift or a crazy high tire.
its a great offroad truck at stock height.

going down a dirt road it sounded like the doors were going to snap the door-strikers right off!!

the only comfort in the ride is the giant foam sofa bench seat... its a joke.

i just need some softer more flexible springs.
any part numbers or custom leaf spring shops i can investigate?

Higher lift you go, harder it will be to have a soft ride unless you go full coils.

What is your plan for the truck? Towing? Wheeling? Fire roads? Desert?

Planning for one of those is usually a compromise in one of the other categories.

Did you want to stay stock height or go with a lift?

In my personal experience, my truck at stock rode very rough. I did a shackle flip in the rear and a set of tuff country ez rides in the front. It rode much nicer and was a lot more comfortable to drive over rough roads.

4 inch EZ ride seems to be the sweet spot for these trucks. Up to 6" is pretty good, once you go to 8 or more, they get stiff again.

well for right now, dropping the tire pressure has made a big difference.

i have decided to do a 2" soft riding lift spring in the front (so my steering doesn't need to be rebuilt)

depending on how the truck sits, i may just do a simple block in the rear.

in the state of political socialist cartels ( AKA CA ) you need to drive for several hours to be able to get to sand dunes and desert and dirt roads and general "overlanding" off road driving.

so i think this will be best...

but im also thinking of getting some of these shocks

Don't forget we get a discount at RockAuto and their prices were lower than that.

Let us know if you get those and how they work out. I've got cheapo's on mine right now (stock/no lift) and in same boat.
