If you have a good tube with threads not stripped out the top plate, I am interested in purchase or trade for something I might have you want.

I have working internal parts, gear, coil and ignition pack.
Just looking for a good tube with plate, or whatever you have laying around that might be rebuild-able.

So you just need a good aluminum housing, with all threaded holes intact? I believe I have the perfect candidate. I'll look tomorrow morning sometime.

Yep, I do have one. It's a remanufactured unit, so the holes for the cap screws are actually threaded bushings that are pressed in. It's probably how GM should have done it to begin with. Just send me your new address and I'll send it your way.
