I think it's 4 quarts or slightly over. Definitely less than 5, but I think less than 4.5 too. It's a little PITA to do on these too... at least refilling.

Is the 465 the one that you need to be carefull to get the actual fill plug, because there's a threaded cap holding a cross shaft or something in? Or am I thinking of a different trans?

No, I fill them through the shifter hole until it runs out the check hole, takes about 4 quarts usually.

I know they can be filled through the top, I can't recall what trans I'm thinking of that had a threaded plug, that held something in place that looked like a fill plug. It may have been a jeep trans, now that I think of it more.

I believe close to 4 quarts. I fill through the check hole in the side.
