I’m quite new to these trucks and I could use some help form those with more experience. I’m replacing the bushings in the rear suspension. After I cleaned up the first shackle I noticed this groove. It has left a bump on the inside where the bushing goes. I’m guessing it isn’t supposed to be there. Am I right?

Thanks

Are you using a newer three piece bushing ?
Two rubber and a metal sleeve?
Most of the time those don’t even go all the way in to where the touch one another
That middle grove wouldn’t even affect anything..
Albeit it is strange
A further shot with the closeup is always nice so we can see the bigger picture

Using urethane 2 piece with sleeve.

I looked at the other one when I got to the shop and it’s the same.

I guess it’s supposed to be there.

Thanks for the quick reply
