    Truck was a 1987 C10 long bed.

Story of it is a tech at work wanted me to shorten the frame so he brought it over and I got to work. I shortened the frame and when it was time for him to pay me for the work, he told me to keep the truck. So now I've got a "free" truck.

I took the bed off, pain in the ass by yourself.

I then moved the truck and you can see the mexican short bed I planned on putting on.

Cut the old bed up as it was pretty damaged and made a bench.

Turns out I hated the mexican bed so I picked up a stepside. Do not recommend transporting a bed like this by the way.

Slapped it on and immediately liked the truck more.

Then because I can't leave anything alone, I decided I wanted to do a front clip swap.

Took the old front clip off

    Pressure washed it out front.

    Thanks!

Same, always on there. Yep, now I am undecided between the step and a fleetside.

Trucks paying for itself so far.

So after selling the front clip, I picked up another one. Found it at a yard here and wasn't expecting to find it so had to squeeze it into the daily driver.

    oldclip.jpg

Painted the insides and the fender wells. The only thing I didn't have was the hood, so I went searching for one.
    oldclip3.jpg

Then I ended up with a whole other truck and that's when this project took a huge turn.

My backyard got a little full.
    backyard.jpg

I sold off the cab and some other parts and that helped clean it up a bit.

Now here's what caused this to take a turn. The truck I bought came with a mostly finished bodydropped frame. Z'd in the front, sectioned front crossmember, a big notch in the back and mostly boxed in.

    frame.jpg

So I originally planned on doing a 4/6 drop and just cruise the truck and maybe eventually bag it. Well now it's just happening a lot sooner than planned.

So naturally I started pulling the truck apart. It's going to get real ugly before it gets real pretty.
