Screw in control arm bushings??

So my 91 has these, from what I can figure out the bushing screws onto to pivot shaft, then screws into the control arm?? what does the arm pivot on??

They are threaded internal and external. They thread onto the shaft while being threaded into the control arm.

C20's .C25's or 2500's whichever have shafts with threads(male) along with threads in the control arms(female). The shafts need to be centered in the control arm as you screw the new bushings onto the shaft and into the arm. The control arm pivots on the shaft in the bushings(if you get it right). Usually kind of a tight fit. It is a metal on metal surface. Never have liked this but it seems to work.

I always liked the setup. As long as it's all assembled properly, there's no bushing slop like with rubber.
You have to prelube them when you go together or sometimes you will have a squeak or squawk. Also if you do it right you can add some caster in by setting the lower forward when you screw in the shafts and the uppers rearward. Not much but a little . And you are right no slop for a long time!!
