Ahhh yes, the '73 gave up its stock bumper as well.
We replaced the crappy diamond plate bumper with a sport bumper last year.
If we had a 1/2 ton and were going to lower it, it would be bitchin.
But we have a 3/4 ton and it is going to stay at the stock height.
So a bumper step would be nice to have and that diamond plate atrocity will not be making a return appearance.

Sporty bumper that will be removed and placed back into the stash...

The new to us bumper with only minor denting.
We will put a bit of work into them and see how much better we can get them.

I also found this little power steering cooler from a random truck or van.
I can't remember what I pulled it off of, but it will do the trick on the truck.

All the other random crap that came home with us for no real reason from most of it. All hardware we pull off the vehicles as we remove what we want goes into the bucket for sorting at a later date. This stuff comes in handy when building things.

I found some fender emblems from a 1970 Ford 3/4 ton and a GMC van emblem that made it home as well as some other random emblems.

I thought this seat belt would be the same as my Suburbans as it was from the same year truck. NO. They have to be somewhat differently shaped. Maybe the belt will be able to be placed into my setup. We shall see.

Buddy picked up the tab for the relays and the fuses....
Well they simply appeared.

My tab for the day...

I totally forgot the 1973 truck gave up its clock gauge set to us.
The temp gauge may also get swapped into our gauge cluster as ours does not have numbers on it. Just C and H. The rest will be put away for another day.
This one cost me $23.50.

Over the Labor Day weekend our Pick N Pull's always have a 50% off everything from the yard sale.
It also happens to be right near Max's birthday and that is where he wants to go to celebrate it.

We found only two Squarebody trucks in the yard this time and managed to pull parts off both of them to take home.
This one is a 1973....

It gave up its hood to us as it was not kinked yet, close but not done.
I will order the stiffener kit to strengthen it before we use it.
Our truck does not really need a new hood, except when we put the fun air cleaner on the engine that needs to poke through the hood.
Total cost on the hood was $32.44 out the door and that includes the $4.99 core charge and $2.95 environmental fee.
I saved $24.49 on this one.

And this one is a 1980 that was crashed in the front drivers side.

This one gave up its passenger door as ours is rotted through at the bottom.
This one is nearly perfect and fully loaded.
It wasn't until I got home and put it away that I realized that it still had the window in it too.
So I rolled it up so as to not get water inside the interior....

Total cost on the door was $38.99 out the door and that includes the $4.99 core charge and $2.95 environmental fee.
I saved $33.99 on this one.
That suburban in tte first pic looks just like mine.

Grabbed these off a 74 that came in the other day. Someone pretty well gutted it already, but they left these.
Anyone Interested in them, let me know.

Getting em packed up tonight.
Had to do a little disassembly to box them up, hope thats okay.
I cleaned everything too.

Eveything look good, what you want?
They're a little scartched here and there, but not bad.

I was going to suggest dismantling them! Thanks for cleaning them up it wasn't necessary. I just know those will last a lot longer than the after market ones for sale now! Thank you.

No problem. They fit alot better in pieces, haha. But they're all wrapped up in bubble wrap and safe.

Definatly better quality. Theyre already 50 years old, and they still look that good, they gotta be better than the new junk..
