So... I'm having a hard time figuring out a rim and tire set up that will work for my truck. Looking to build a sleeper truck had a hard time finding plus sized replica 3 piece rally rims. I found 1 piece replicas online was thinking about running 17"X9" with a 5" back space and a 0 offset and for the fronts was gonna run 17"x7" with 0 back space and 0 offset. My question is is how wide of a tire can you fit under the back of the truck on the stock ride height with no tub? Also, any recommendations on competition tires to put 400+ hp to the ground and maybe more in the future? Found MT ET street s/s - 305/45R17 but nothing similar by MT to match them on the fronts. So was leaning towards Toyo proxes TQ - 345/40R17 but not sure if those are to wide for a 9" rim or if they will fit. Then could run the proxe ST III on the front to stay similar brands. Any pictures of similar set ups or input would be greatly appreciated before I go ahead and purchases anything.

A 345/40R17 will not fit on a 9" wide rim I can guarantee you that. That's a really wide fuckn tire. I have 295/35R18 on back of my camaro and those rims are 10.5" wide.

I'm pushing 400hp on these and they have been plenty wide for me.

Awesome thanx for the input! I like the look of the MT - ET street s/s just cant find front tires to match it. seems to be when you get into a truck tire its hard matching tires when you run wider on the rears.

I found the same rim but in a 17"x10" or 18"x7" up to 12" wide so I do have some options to play with for rims just not sure what fits under the truck. with trying to keep the tire at 29" tall it seems to be either super wide or stock width.
