Rebuilt Th400 Chevy 4x4 trans

as the title states, this is a rebuilt 4x4 trans. New low/reverse roller clutch, new direct drum roller clutch, deep pan, it had a TransGo valve body kit in it when I got it so it’s reinstalled, new bearings, etc. I’d like 650, but I’m negotiable. I’m in central Indiana, shipping would be kinda hassle. I figure anybody here knows what a transmission looks like, so I didn’t post a pic. However, if anyone in readerland really wants to see it, I’ll post a pic.

That's a darn good deal:)

The readers just need to know the stick out length of the output shaft. There were a couple different lengths used.

I did not know that, I thought 4x4 was a 4x4 trans. I have a couple other 4 wheel drive output shafts in my parts collection, do you happen to know how to identify them? The wife and kids want to put the Christmas tree up (bah humbug!! I want to wait until December, I like my holidays one at a time!!) so I’ll be in the garage later getting decorations out. I’ll measure that output shaft.

Got any idea what length goes with what transfer case? Or does the transmission/transfer case adapter determine what’s needed? Are the spline count the same? Learn something new every day. If you ever need Olds 455 info, or 69 Olds Cutlass/442 info, I have a wealth of knowledge with that stuff.

The short one was for the np203. The mid length was for the 'figure 8' pattern np205. The long output was for the np208, np241 and also the 'round pattern' np205.

Ok, made it out to the shed to measure the output shaft, it sticks out about an inch and a half. I also with thru the pile of output shafts, the only other 4x4 output shaft also measures one and a half past the extension yolk. So, this will bolt to a 203 transfer case

Someone, anyone, make a offer. If not, I’m probably going to swap output shafts and convert it to a rear wheel drive trans. In that case, I’ll have a 203 output shaft to sell, if needed.

I would have made an offer, but I already have two freshly rebuilt th400's sitting under the work bench.
