I'm restoring my '76 Suburban and looking for the filler panel/gravel deflector that covers the gap between the body and rear bumper. Mine is dried out/brittle from 47 years in the desert. It tucks under the top of the rear bumper. (picture shows it sitting on top). The OEM part is rubber. Anyone know of a source? Would prefer metal...thanks, Steve

Besides used, I don't know of a source. The K5 version of the filler was steel, but I've never tried fitting one to a Suburban.

If you can't find an OEM part, try finding an old truck tire inner tube and cut to fit.

Those are what the pickups used. They bolted to the tops of the bumper brackets, assuming to hide them.

K5's had a full width panel, assuming to also hide the fuel tank and crossmember. The panel was steel and bolted to the bumper brackets.

The Suburban panel was also full width, but was made of plastic and screwed to the body.
