Are you sure you got the correct shoes and hardware for it? If the shoes are adjusted all the way in, there shouldn't be any contact with the drum on install. You should have stopped when the drum didn't go on easily. Any chance on removing it and posting some pictures?

Yeah, the drum should spin like there’s no shoes in there with the adjuster all the way out.

Yeah I know but something is really tight I don't know if the adjuster is wrong size or what are the adjusters different sizes

And it’s just one side or both?

Hmm, if you didn’t replace anything besides shoes, and it just started doing this, I don’t think it’s a hardware issue. If it were me, I’d compare the two sides to see if anything is overtly different. Pay close attention to the adjuster to make sure it isn’t just getting stuck before it’s all the way retracted. It shouldn’t need near that much, though, to be right. This is a long shot, but I’d also open the bleeder valve to see if there’s something fishy with the wheel cylinder. I’ve heard of them sticking but have never actually seen it. It’s hard to tell in the picture, but I feel like the rods should be tucked in a little more. Maybe that’s just me, though.

I was talking about the little rods that the pistons push on to extend the shoes. You replaced it? How long ago?

No, you don’t replace those. I was just wondering because it was already covered in dust. Anyway, like I said, I’d take pictures of both sides and do an I spy type thing to see if anything’s different.
