For those running the QA1 front suspension with stock crossmember. Did you need to clearance your inner fenders to have access to adjust shims?

You shouldn't have to, didn't have to for OE stuff and the QA1 stuff isn't that different, placement wise, vs the OE. The OE inner itself doesn't come down that low, the little dust skirt filled the gap

Appreciate the response, my truck body is at my dad’s shop waiting for paint and the chassis is in mine. Giving me all sorts of time to second guess myself and think of stupid questions.

I had to cut 1-1/2” notches in my fender wells to get to the upper’s grease fittings. No biggie.

Fender wells? Don't need no stinking fender wells. :peace:

Mines not QA1 mine is all CPP stuff but the aftermarket stuff is basically in the same places as the stock stuff and cleared all the adjustments and grease fittings fine but removed mine when I went to the fender well headers rather than cut them too basically nothing.

Not a criticsm, genuine question - wouldn't you want to fully assemble and run the truck before blowing it apart for paint?
That way any mods can get taken care of before the expense of finishing ( there's always something ), and you know you will be happy with the finished build.
- Thoughts ? ...

The body was on the truck when I finished assembling the chassis with the motor/trans etc in. I did not install the inner fenders at the time because I didn’t feel it was necessary. Another post I saw here or elsewhere got me thinking about it. And honestly when I have a window of time to get the truck painted I need to take advantage of it. It may not be ideal but it is what it is. Gotta strike when the time/money iron is hot.
