Started to tear apart the front end apart to pull out the old 5.7L. Going to be swapping in a 96 engine, carbing that engine and eventually going to FiTech or similar. Any ways, here are some pics.

Would you be interested in selling the Decel valve and bracket?

The shittiest part is if I had seen this I wouldn't have bothered tearing apart the front end. Would have just pulled it out as completely as I could. Here's the broken cam

So the engine still rotates over? It must if you were able to find out the cam was broke, right?

It did rotate. Started with no spark, to dizzy not dizzying, to broken cam shaft when I pulled the valve cover and only cylinder 1 rockers were moving. Should have just said screw it at that point and pulled it then.

Well, at least you found out what broke the cam. That's something... I guess.

Not sure how broken it is. Front crank bearing is trashed as well.
It blows my mind how mine went because i was literally stoplight driving when it went. I had the same issue of connecting rods through the pan and broken cam. Theres pics in my media folders of it somewhere.

The rods flying around is what breaks the cam. They make contact.

Even at idle the crank is throwing the broken rod through 10 revolutions per second, assuming 600rpm. That is a lot of potential damage real quick.
