1984 GMC C25 Sierra Classic

My spare tire holder was completely missing when I bought it. Does someone have a picture of which parts I need to order? Thanks in advance.

Or a glide-out carrier. LMC sells both.
Glide out on mine, off now, going back on?
haven’t painted yet

My 84 Sierra had an underbed originally, but it's long gone. I was going to get one from a friend but thought about laying in the dirt, or mud etc. if I had to use my spare, so I bought the in bed style from LMC and have it mounted behind the passenger.

I used to have a 65 Suburban, which had an underbody carrier on it, but the original owner took it off and made this for it. Simple steel bracket with all thread that goes through the rim with a plate over the center hole.

Keep in mind it may interfere with a receiver hitch. Mine did, had to remove the spare.

How does that work? I'd like to see pics of that. There is a guy here in Oregon that makes a hidden winch setup that fits behind the stock bumper... it's a pretty nice setup. I have his front shackle mounts and they are top notch, I'll probably do the behind the bumper winch mount in the near future and hide the fairlead behind the front license plate.

The stock under truck tire carrier works okay, but it’s an abomination that is a real PIA to use. I usually end up putting my spare onto a small floor jack to hold it up, so I can get it in to position and bolt the carrier arm back in place at the same time. My spare’s exact position is critical because it has to go straight up, and at the same time clear both the trailer hitch and dual exhausts.

Some folks have modified and used a cable operated crank-up spare tire carrier like on the newer trucks. If you do a search you might find a good project explanation.
