Welp, here it is friends!! I'll be taking ownership of this on Saturday and I'm very excited.

A brief summary of this burb is I'll DD this burb for a while but then eventually it'll graduate to father/sons project and family back up ride. I hope to use it to help teach the little guys how to wrench over the years.

I haven't decided exactly what all the plans are as of yet but I will know for sure once I'm able to get my hands on it and get a feel for it. What I do know for sure is an LS swap is in it's future like @foamypirate and his 3+3. I also want to swap the tripod mirrors to a set of dumbos but I'm torn cuz that'd mean doing body work on that original paint. It's only original once. So we'll see.

Here are some pics that I grabbed off the eBay auction I got it from. It's got 99k original miles on it...

That is one sweet ride! Nice find! Seeing all the burbs on this site takes me back to when I was a kid, my aunt Irene had a bone stock, I think '73, baby blue and white burb. It was super clean. When she passed away her son or nephew sold it to someone in town. It was easily as clean as what you found there. Finding something unmolested nowadays is rare and that appears to unmolested.

I like it! Besides the colors, it reminds me of the C20 Burb I used to have (that Towjoe now has).

Sure I can't talk you out of that LS swap though? A head/cam swap and an aftermarket MPFI injection setup would really be bitchin, and still have gobs of torque

I'm always up for learning and doing something else so learn me up @bucket :) this is my first big block so if there are other things I can do to make things more efficient and reliable the I'm all ears. I lean towards the LS because of the many benefits that platform offers over the old stuff but there is a strong possibility that there's knowledge that I'm missing that could sway me in a different direction :)

Have you driven it yet? In stock form it isn't a racer at all, but just driving it may sell you on the big block grunt. It can only improve from there and the effort involved could be much less than an LS swap. A lot depends on the route you take too, your current 454 has similar miles to the average LS pull-out. Or were you planning on a new crate motor?

No I haven't driven it yet. My thought with the LS would used that is go through and refresh. So used and yes around 100k miles most likely. So about the same mileage as the current big block has. No new crate motor with this square lol

I'd highly recommend driving it for a little while and then deciding what direction you want to go

Completely agree :) none of my plans are immediate as all of my vehicle projects are slow developing since I don't have a money tree out back :D the only thing I know of right now that needs to be done immediately is to fix the issue with the driver window not going up and down and figuring out if it's a switch or motor issue.

All other major projects will develop as time goes on at a snails pace

One thing I probably will want to do soon is get some mufflers to give this thing som rumble (assuming it's not already there). Any recommendation @bucket (or anyone else for that matter)? What sounds good on a big block? I don't wanna wake up the neighbors necessarily but just a nice rumble
